I don't know if you're like me, but if I'm not intentional about practicing gratitude and having the self-awareness to give the current moment my full and most engaged presence, I can find myself stuck in a negative mindset of just trying to get through my current season. This is particularly true in seasons of change or challenge. It's safe to say we're in one of those right now.
Hear my heart, I'm not making light of what we're walking through. We are all walking through the same storm but it's affecting each of us differently. I pray first and foremost for the health, safety and well-being of you and your loved ones. I'm sensitive to those of whom this is hitting particularly hard. Please let me know if I can help in any way.
With that said, the problem with constantly living with the mindset of just trying to "get through it," is that life evolves in seasons. Seasons mean change and with change comes new challenges. If I'm not careful I'll spend most of my life wishing it away. I'm tired of just trying to get through it. I want to thrive in every season.
The job of a commercial lines producer already has enough challenges, which are only amplified by this pandemic. New challenges are particularly tough because we face something we've never been through before. It's unknown territory.
We don't know how long this season will last. We don't know the impact on the economy or our business. But instead of surviving this season, I'd like to offer a little hope with three ideas on how you can make the most of this time in order to be a better agent on the other side.
From a business standpoint, what other time in history has there been an opportunity like this to take a step out the day-to-day grind of working in your business and work on your business without the stress of falling behind?
With everything being cancelled or closed or quarantined, the opportunity to spend time thinking about, planning and developing your business is unprecedented. You can't fall behind your competition right now but you surely can get ahead.
Now is the perfect time to refine certain aspects of your game. Use this season to invest in training, improve your technical knowledge, sketch out a plan to build a nichè of expertise, work on your customer journey, automate some of your business processes, or build out the framework of a more modern approach to pipeline development. The opportunities are endless.
To help, we've extended this semester's registration so you can take advantage of our $700 discount off the entire ECLIPS Academy library.

I've been virtually shouting this as loud as I can for the last year but the global pandemic is amplifying the importance of owning your own personal world-class digital real estate.
Beyond just enabling you to connect with your prospects and customers when you can't physically meet, having your own online web presence allows you to scale your reach beyond your backyard, be found where and when prospects are searching, and elevate your brand to a position of thought leadership.

While most people are consumed with media and news right now, I'd like to ask you a question that may redirect your thoughts.
Are you still fully engaged and compelled by what you do every day?
If not, I'd like to suggest that's an early indication of something that has been plaguing producers long before the coronavirus: burnout and boredom.
I think this is the perfect time to re-share an article that will help you harness the power of reflection, reframing, renewal, relationships and refinement to make you come alive in your career again.
As always, please let me know how I can help you in this time. Even in this, you can be elite. Blessings and favor over you and your family!
